About This Template
Reid Stott is a web designer and photographer living in Atlanta, Georgia. This text is the body of a “sticky” article placed in the “About” section. The excerpt will appear at the top of the sidebar of all pages, with an article image aligned right (if one is uploaded), and a link to the full “about” page.
In other words, you must create an excerpt, or you’ll have no text under the “About” header in the right column (if you want no “About” element at all in the sidebar, edit “sidebar-1” in the page templates to remove it).
If you upload an article image, it is recommended that you either [1] create or upload a thumbnail of the full size image that is 100 to 120 pixels wide or less, or [2] make sure the full size image is 100 to 120 pixels or less, so that the text and image fit well in the sidebar’s fixed width.
On the full “About” page, the full size image will be shown, aligned to the left at the top of the page, with your text flowing around it. If you choose to upload no image, everything will still work fine. But you know people want to see a picture…
Oh, and be sure to turn off comments for your sticky article that creates this page.
